Books and Brushes Junior is our Kindergarten session. We will lay the foundational skills your child needs to become a strong reader, writer and thinker during our time together.

This session helps children meet new friends and get to know the routines and structures of kindergarten. Each day, we’ll work on a daily read aloud and do a hands-on project that involves a bit of writing. Participants will also be able to learn while playing during our independent center time.

New this year, we are partnering with Aspiring Artists, a camp run by LTE’s amazing art teacher, Lorri Hodges. Your child will be reading with Mrs. Lee for an hour, and then will meet with Mrs. Hodges to work on connected art experiences for the other hour. This team teaching approach allows your child to extend both reading and art skills while getting to know different people they’ll interact with once kindergarten begins.

**Please note: Lone Tree Elementary will be closed this summer for repairs to the roof and fire alarm system. Due to these repairs, we will be holding our sessions at the eDCSD Inverness Campus located about 10 minutes away from school at 373 Inverness Pkwy, Englewood, CO 80112.
